In this paper  the fault-tolerant control technique is introduced into the attitude stability control system of a quadrotor UAV in order to compensate the influence of the actuators fault of the aircraft. This control scheme is composed of two components: a robust fault detection module using the modelbased observation approach and a reconfigurable controller. Besides the designing procedure  the theoretical analysis of robustness and stability of the designed FTC scheme are also contained in this article. Basing on the difference between target and background  a predictive background is generated via restraining the infrared background with median filter  and then global threshold segmentation is used to residual image for further processing. Taking advantage of the relationship of targets in frames  a comprehensive analysis of residual image is made  and then the precise position of target is got by removing pseudo-objectives. Using the coarse sampling and the fine interpolation  a novel approach based on singular spectrum analysis (SSA) is presented to decompose the generated TPT into a slowly varying trend and a quickly varying quasi-periodic oscillation. The numerical experiments of the TPT decomposition of toroidal surfaces have been carried out. The results verify that the proposed approach is very effective for the TPT decomposition.
