A concentric glass spherical dome was usually chosen as the transparent window mounted in front of the optical lens in an image seeker. However  optical ray had to change its direction when propagating through the dome due to refraction unless passing through the center of the dome  which demanded gimbal point coincide with the center of the dome exactly. In fact  gimbal point displacement could not be eliminating due to fabrication  assembly and vibration  therefore the optical axis pointing error generated. In this paper  the effect of gimbal point displacement on optical axis pointing precision in an image seeker was analyzed  and the theoretical expression of the optical axis pointing error was derived based on geometric optics  and the error dynamics was explored by numerical. Take a visible light image seeker as a case  the thickness of concentric glass spherical dome was 8mm and the inner radius was 72mm  and the optical axis pointing errors varying dynamically with the look angle and the gimbal point displacement were shown in graph. When the gimbal displacement was 0.11mm  the maximum optical axis pointing error was 0.054mrad that is equal to the instantaneous field of view (IFOV) corresponding to the camera system whose focal length was 120mm and pixel size was 6.5m. Furthermore  with the gimbal displacement increasing  the optical axis pointing error increased linearly. The analyzed results provided a theoretical basis for the displacement range  which had to be limited strictly in the gimbal design process. 2011 IEEE.

There are three main nonlinear elements in the large mirror assemblies  which are screw pretension  adhesive stress and state changes in the assembly process. The optical shape will be influenced seriously by these factors. But the impacts will not be shown in linear analysis results  because as the simplification  these factors have been ignored. The nonlinear analysis method for predicting optical surface deformations resulted from assembly process is discussed in detail. Take a typical mirror support structure for example  the nonlinear analysis model was established. Comparing the calculation results with the optical shape test  it is illustrated that nonlinear analysis is more accurate and closer to the test result. And according to the simulation result  the bowl-shaped depression which was discovered in the test can also be explained reasonably. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

In order to improve the real-time performance of the conventional correlation tracking algorithm based on full search method  for its huge computation amount and vast correlation matching times in the process of searching an optimal matching position  a method of combining the TMS320C64x DSP assembly language and software pipelining is proposed to realize template matching which costs the most time of the algorithm. Choose high performance DSP chip TMS320DM642 as the core processor of the hardware platform  and schedule each one of the instruction in the algorithm to maximize performance using the instruction-level parallelism of the DSP. The experimental results indicate the time of template image matching implemented in assembly language has decreased from 49.36ms to 0.62ms. It is concluded that the correlation tracking adopting proposed method can meet the real-time and stability requirement of the target tracking. 2010 IEEE.

Silicon carbide (SiC) is a new type candidate material for large-scale lightweight space mirror. Its low thermal distortion  high stiffness  fine optical quality and dimensional stability  make SiC an ideal material for large space born telescope. Since ten years Changchun institute optics  fine mechanics and physics (CIOMP) has developed reaction bonded SiC (RB-SiC) technology for space application  and can fabricate RB-SiC mirror with scale less than 1.0 meter for telescope. The green body is prepared with gel-casting method which is an attractive new ceramic forming process for making high-quality  complex-shaped ceramic parts. And then unmolding  drying  binder burning out  reacting bonded  the RB-SiC can be obtained. But with the development of space-born or ground telescope  the scale of primary mirror has exceeded 1.0 meter. So CIOMP has developed an assembly technique which called novel reaction-formed joint technology for larger RB-SiC mirror blank. The steps include joining of green bodies with mixture comprised of SiC particles and phenolic resin etc  firing  machining and sintering. Joining the 1.2 meter RB-SiC mirror blank by the novel reaction-formed joint technology. And testing the welding layer's performance  the results show that the thickness of 54-77m  the microstructure and thermal property can be comparable to the substrate and the mechanical property are excellent in bending strength of 307MPa. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

To study the action of shock wave in CH target  one-dimensional grazing incidence KBA microscope for 4.75keV energy was set up. Because of strong absorption in air  4.75keV energy microscope can just work in vacuum. Accordingly  the alignment and assemblage will be very complicated and difficult. A special multilayer method  using double periodic multilayer  was proposed to solve this problem. This multilayer has high reflectivity not only for 4.75keV X-rays but also for 8keV X-rays at the same grazing incidence angle. It means 1D-KBA microscope has the same light trace for different working energies. Therefore  we can implement the alignment and assembly of 4.75keV system by the help of 8keV X-rays. Because 8keV X-rays is very easy produced by X-ray tube and has strong transmittability in air  the alignment and assemblage process became relatively easy. By now  we have finished the alignment experiment at 8keV and obtained imaging results. The performance is about 2-3m resolution in 250m field of view. It is coincide with the calculation. 2009 SPIE.
