| 英文摘要 | A new natural hybrid, begonia xbreviscapa c.-i peng, yan liu & s. m. ku, from northwestern guangxi, china, is described and illustrated. a somatic chromosome number of 2n = 30 was determined. based on morphological features, geographical range, pollen stainability and seed set we conclude that b. xbreviscapa is a natural hybrid between b. variifolia y. m. shui & w. h. chen [sect. coelocentrum irmsch.] and b. leprosa hance [sect. leprosae (t. c. ku) y. m. shui]. this is the first documentation of natural hybridization between begonias of two different sections in mainland china. |
