中文摘要Remote health monitoring system is used to collect and transfer biosignal data from the patient to healthcare center. In this work, a method using the combination of ZigBee and GPRS is presented. These two wireless technologies are integrated to support continuous biosignal monitoring in presence of patient mobility. The principle of remote data transmission through GPRS and short range data transmission through ZigBee is introduced. All data output from medical devices are transferred within a group of wireless personal area network (WPAN) to GPRS gateway. Then, the gateway transmits biosignal data to healthcare center for further analysis. In order to communicate with different medical device, the wireless data transmission devices adopt both RS232 and USB as interface.
