英文摘要 | The study presented in this paper dealt with the washing of a soil polluted with iron and steel production activities. The soil was rich in heavy metals and metalloids (Pb, Zn, Cd, As). Soil was washed with deionized water, 0.5 mol.L-1 hydrochloric acid, 0.5 mol.L-1 nitric acid, 0.5 mol.L-1 Citric acid, 0.5 mol.L-1 Acetic acid, 0.5 mol.L-1 Oxalic acid and 0.1 mol.L-1 EDTA. High extraction efficiency was achieved with respect to EDTA and hydrochloric acid. The nitric acid was proven to be effective with respect to Pb, Zn and Cd, while it was proven to be less effective with respect to As. The acetic acid was proven to be effective with respect to Zn, while it was proven to be problematic with respect to Pb, Cd and As. Citric acid was effective with respect to Pb and Zn, problematic with respect to Cd and As. Oxalate was proven to be problematic with respect to Pb, Zn, and Cd, less effective than EDTA and hydrochloric acid with respect to As. Mobilization of Pb, Zn, Cd and As under deionized water effect was minimal indicated that the metal fraction that is weakly bound to soil particles is insignificant. The high As content in the soil necessitated further treatment. Overall, the study showed that the use of one extractant was not effective in removing all types of metal, a sequential washing procedure using different extractants may be needed for the safety reuse of the site. |
