| 英文摘要 | Cancer as a major public health problem is a big trouble to be cured at present in the world. Thus, it is essential to discover better anticancer drugs to treat cancer patients. It has been reported that rottlerin, a natural polyphenolic compound from the mature fruits of Mallotus philippinensis, possesses multiple anti-cancer biological activities. Rottlerin exhibited its antitumor property in a variety of human cancers, suggesting that rottlerin could be a potential agent for treating cancers. In this review we discuss the recent literature regarding the biological functions and tumor suppressive mechanisms of rottlerin in cancers. We hope rottlerin will be further exploited for potential treatment of human cancers. |
