英文摘要A simple and efficient approach for the synthesis of 3,5-di-O-benzoyl-2-C-methyl-D-arabino-gamma-lactone through a neighboring group participation mechanism is reported. This compound could be a useful precursor for the synthesis of nucleoside antiviral agents. (c) 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
