英文摘要 | The transmission of deep sea and offshore data has historically been a hard problem to solve. To cope with this difficulty, a novel mobile platform has been designed, which is both an observation vehicle, with modular sensor payloads, and a mobile communications platform. As an observation platform, it can collect videos and meteorological data. One main innovation of the unmanned surface vehicle (USV) is the communication capability. It can exchange information, including commands and hydrologic data, with underwater equipment. The hydrologic data, meteorological data and videos will be transmitted to operators and scientists in real time and long distance. In the fall of 2019, a series of sea tests have verified the feasibility and validity of the USV as an observation and a communication platform. |
