To control the polishing conveniently  a theoretical model based on the Preston hypothesis is given. According to the model  the problems related to control the power and the edge effect occurred during the process are analyzed and practically solved. All the products were systematically characterized by powder x-ray diffraction (XRD)  infrared spectroscopy (IR)  scanning electron microscopy (SEM)  photoluminescence (PL) and photoluminescent excitation spectra (PLE). Based on the analyses of the X-ray diffraction and photoluminescence result  it could be confirmed that the Sb has successfully doped in the ZnO crystal lattices to form an accepter energy level. At 85 K  the recombination of the acceptor-bound exciton was predominant in PL spectrum  which was attributed to the transition of the (SbZn-2VZn) complex bound exciton.
