The CCD plane of the space tridimensional mapping camera will be deviated from the focal plane(including the CCD plane deviated due to camera focal length changed)  under the condition of space environment and vibration  impact when satellite is launching  image resolution ratio will be descended because defocusing. For tridimensional mapping camera  principal point position and focal length variation of the camera affect positioning accuracy of ground target  conventional solution is under the condition of vacuum and focusing range  calibrate the position of CCD plane with code of photoelectric encoder  when the camera defocusing in orbit  the magnitude and direction of defocusing amount are obtained by photoelectric encoder  then the focusing mechanism driven by step motor to compensate defocusing amount of the CCD plane. For tridimensional mapping camera  under the condition of space environment and vibration  impact when satellite is launching  if the camera focal length changes  above focusing method has been meaningless. Thus  the measuring and focusing method was put forward based on astigmation  a quadrant detector was adopted to measure the astigmation caused by the deviation of the CCD plane  refer to calibrated relation between the CCD plane poison and the asrigmation  the deviation vector of the CCD plane can be obtained. This method includes all factors caused deviation of the CCD plane  experimental results show that the focusing resolution of mapping camera focusing mechanism based on astigmatic method can reach 0.25 m. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

In order to solve the registration problem of different source image existed on aerial image fusion  algorithms based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) are applied as search strategy in this paper  and Alignment Metric (AM) is used as judgment. This study has realized the different source image registration of infrared and visible light with high speed  high accuracy and high reliability. Basically  with little restriction of gray level properties  a new alignment measure is applied  which can efficiently measure the image registration extent and tolerate noise well. Even more  the intelligent optimization algorithm - Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is combined to improve the registration precision and rate of infrared and visible light. Experimental results indicate that  the study attains the registration accuracy of pixel level  and every registration time is cut down over 40 percent compared to traditional method. The match algorithm based on AM  solves the registration problem that greater differences between different source images are existed on gray and characteristic. At the same time  the adoption of combining the intelligent optimization algorithms significantly improves the searching efficiency and convergence speed of the algorithms  and the registration result has higher accuracy and stability  which builds up solid foundation for different source image fusion. The method in this paper has a magnificent effect  and is easy for application and very suitable for engineering use. 2010 IEEE.

The surface profile of Wolter type-I mirror has a great impact on the performance of Solar X-ray Telescope. According to the existing fabrication instrument and experimental conditions in our lab  an in situ Long Trace Profiler is developed and set up on the fabrication instrument in order to measure the surface profile of Wolter mirror in real time during fabrication process. Its working mechanism  structural parameters and data processing algorithm are investigated. The prototype calibrated by a standard plane mirror is used to measure a sample of Wolter type-I mirror. The results show that our prototype can achieve an accuracy of 2.6rad rms for slope error with a stability of 1.33rad during the whole measurement period. In this paper  a new approach to objectively assess the performance of image fusion algorithms is proposed. It is based on the quaternion representation for the structural information of color images. Quaternions are used to encode the pixels of a color image into a quaternion matrix. Local variance of the luminance layer of color image is taken as the real part of a quaternion  then the three RGB channels of the color image are encoded into the three imaginary parts of the quaternion. The angle between the singular value feature vectors of the quaternion matrices corresponding to the source image and the fused image is used to measure the structural similarity of them. Different weight is given to the source images by using variance. The experiment results show that the proposed assessment method is consistent with the HVS. The color information of a color image can be fully used by this method. It can give an accurate assessment result for each fusion algorithm by using the source images and the fused image. 2009 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.
