The radiometric calibration of the thermal imager was investigated to build the relationship between the input radiance and the digital output to realize the temperature measurement. The radiometric calibration was implemented in the State Key Laboratory of Applied Optics. A standard black body source was served as radiation source. The response of the thermal imager to the input radiance was tested for different gains. The experimental results show that the average grey level of the output imaging is linear dependence of the input radiance. Because the radiance in the receiving wave range of the thermal imager is linear with the black body's temperature based on Planck's law of radiation
the average grey level of the output image is also linear with the black body's temperature after fitting a curve to the experiment data points. Then the relationship of the response and the gain was studied when the black body's temperature kept constant. The preliminary analysis of calibration data shows that the response of the thermal imager is linear and the average grey value of the image is directly proportion to the gain. According to the experimental results
the reference gains and the dynamic range of temperature measurement were obtained. Finally
the uncertainty influencing the calibration results was analyzed
the analysis shows the maximal uncertainty is 5.2%
which can meet the calibration requirement less than 10%. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

With the application of CCD image sensor
the display effect of LED display panel is greatly improved. Due to the pixel response non-uniformity of CCD
it usually brings a "center dark
surround light" defect on LED display panel. Based on image smoothing algorithm
a calibration method for this defect is proposed in this paper. After calibration
the display uniformity deviation of LED display panel can be narrowed from 12.9% to 0.73%. Experimental results show that the method overcomes the inherent defect and achieves the desired effect. 2010 IEEE.

Nowadays star sensor technology used in aircraft attitude measurement has become more and more popular for its high precision
light weight
without attitude accumulation errors and other advantages. In order to enhance the accuracy of star sensor
it is critical to make efforts to promote the precision of star image locating. High precision star image locating method mentioned in this article includes two aspects. One is sub-pixel dividing algorithm used to acquire the coordinate of stars. The other one is imaging calibration method used to weaken the effect caused by imaging distortion. This method is finally realized in some type of star sensor system. Then an experiment is designed to verify the precision of the method. The result of the experiment shows that the precision of the method is 2" in the experimental environment. 2010 IEEE.

When accelerometer is installed
errors would be produced
which will greatly degrade the measurement accuracy
so to the tracking precision while being applied in the compound control. We make the experimental analysis for the accelerometer installation
in which the accelerometer is installed parallel to the azimuth and 30 degree away the azimuth. The data are dealt with and compared with the theoretical results. Out work can offer useful information for the calibration of accelerometer in the optoelectronic tracking system. 2010 IEEE.

To the characteristic of the ultraviolet CCD (UV ICCD)
technique of the linearity measurement of the UV ICCD camera is studied based on the theory of radiometry. Approach of linearity measurement is discussed
and a kind of measurement system of the UV ICCD has been developed based on the method of neutral density filter. It is very important that the transmittance of the filter is independent of the wavelength in the method of neutral density filter. Black metal screen mesh with different transmittance is used in our system
and calibration of the filters' transmittance in different working positions has been done. Meanwhile
to assure the uniform of the received radiation on the target of the detector at any test points
an integrating sphere is placed behind the neutral filter to balance light. The whole measurement system mainly consists of a deuterium lamp with high stabilization

optical guide and electro-shift platform. Auto control is realized via special software during the test. With this instrument
the linearity of the UV ICCD was measured. Experimental results show that the nonlinearity of the UV ICCD under fixed-gain is less than 2% and the uncertainty of measurement system is less than 4%. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

The main methods to measure the target IR features are the following two ways: test and then measurement
or theoretical and simulation calculation. The former is direct measurement so the results are more accurate but the test is costly and complicated
so that it is limited in the application. Theoretical and simulation calculation are widely used in the target IR radiation calibration. Here we give the basic configuration of the calibration platform for measuring the IR radiation of the large area low temperature blackbody source
and discuss the calibration flowchart and key technologies for atmospheric transmission correction. The dynamic data are analyzed in real time to determine the IR radiation features in the data fusion subsystem
and the experimental results show that the calibration method is feasible and practical. 2010 IEEE.

This paper presents a method to recover dynamic position of photoelectric encoder. While working at dynamic state
original outputs of the photoelectric encoder are in theory two sine or triangular signals with a phase difference of /2. However
there are still deviations of actual output signals. Interpolating on the basis of this deviation signal will result in interpolation errors. In dynamic state
true original signal data obtained by data acquisition system is a time equation. Through processing these data by data equiangular and harmonic analysis
the equation will be converted from time domain to position domain and an original position equation can be formed. Then the interpolation errors also can be obtained. By this method
the interpolation errors can be checked in dynamic state and it can also provide electric interpolation basis so that to improve dynamic interpolation precision of the encoder. Software simulation and experimental analysis all prove the method effective. This method is he basis in theory for precision checking and calibration in motion. 2009 SPIE.
