A coarse and fine combined fast search and auto-focusing algorithm was suggested in this paper. This method can automatically search and find the focal plane by evaluating the image definition. The Krisch operator based edge energy function was used as the big-step coarse focusing
and then the wavelet transform based image definition evaluation function
which is sensitivity to the variation in image definition
was used to realize the small-step fine focusing in a narrow range. The un-uniform sampling function of the focusing area selection used in this method greatly reduces the workload and the required time for the data processing. The experimental results indicate that this algorithm can satisfy the requirement of the optical measure equipment for the image focusing. (2012) Trans Tech Publications.

To efficiently evaluate the tracking index of theodolite
as well as avoiding influence resulted from higher harmonics when used opto dynamic target and use equivalent sine to evaluate the tracking index
in this paper
we resorted to General Regression Neural Network to do the new research on theodolite tracking accuracy evaluation method. Experimental results indicate that the method realized the equivalent sine to evaluate the tracking index of theodolite and avoided the higher harmonics influence with opto dynamic target. The research in this paper has important value to the engineering practice. (2012) Trans Tech Publications.

With finite element analysis software Moldflow
numerical simulation and studies about FM truck roof handle were conducted on gas-assisted injection molding process. The influences of melt pre-injection shot
gas pressure
delay time and melt temperature were observed by using multi-factor orthogonal experimental method. According to the analysis of the factors' impact on evaluation index
the optimized parameter combination is obtained. Therefore the optimization design of technological parameters is done. The results show that during the gas-assisted injection molding
optimum pre-injection shot is 94%
gas pressure is 15MPa
delay time is 0.5s
melt temperature is 240 C. This study provided a more practical approach for the gas-assisted injection molding process optimization.

For the limitation of data transmission bandwidth and real time transmission demand
generally image compression is required to implement the precise and flexible rate control algorithm. Rate control is an important issue in the image compression field. This paper considers the problem of rate allocation to each encoded segment for CCSDS image compression. One straightforward method is to allocate an equal amount of rate to each segment based on the average of the total number of compressed bytes. The obvious drawback of this method is that different segment will be reconstructed to different quality
so the overall quality of the reconstructed image will not be optimized. For the shortage of the original rate control method
as to improve the overall quality of the reconstructed image
an improved rate control algorithm is proposed for CCSDS image encoding. The key component of the proposed rate control method is the appropriate rate allocation. Experiments on the test images show that the PSNR can be increased at about 0.3dB on average
compared to the original algorithm. Therefore
experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in terms of objective evaluation
and the rate-distortion performance of the reconstructed image is improved. 2011 IEEE.

In order to measure dynamic interpolation errors of photoelectric encoder of high precision
the dynamic evaluation system of interpolation errors is introduced. Firstly
the fine Moire signal of encoder which is collected with the high-speed data gathering card into the computer is treated to equiangular data with the method of linear interpolation. Then
the analysis of harmonic wave with the FFT is processed. Compared with the standard signal
the dynamic interpolation errors of the encoder are calculated. Experimental results show that the precision of the dynamic evaluation system of interpolation errors is 0.1 %( pitch). The evaluation system is simple
fast
high precision
and can be used in the working field of the encoder. 2009 SPIE.
