To realize the functions of infrared transparent as well as radar double- pass Band
A Y loop and Y slot compound element Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) structure is proposed
which takes an infrared transparent inductive mesh as a substrate. The proposed structure is analyzed based on Galerkin spectral method. The transitivity of infrared (3um-5um) as well as the radar double passed band with two resonance frequencies (31GHz and 54GHz) is discussed. The result reveals that this structure has function of infrared transparent as well as stable radar double-band filter with effective shielding effect on S-band and C-band radar electromagnetic waves. The design with multiple passband is suitable for radar/IR composite guidance and it also offers a kind of new thinking way of design for multi-mode compound guidance systems. 2011 Trans Tech Publications.

To the characteristic of the ultraviolet CCD (UV ICCD)
technique of the linearity measurement of the UV ICCD camera is studied based on the theory of radiometry. Approach of linearity measurement is discussed
and a kind of measurement system of the UV ICCD has been developed based on the method of neutral density filter. It is very important that the transmittance of the filter is independent of the wavelength in the method of neutral density filter. Black metal screen mesh with different transmittance is used in our system
and calibration of the filters' transmittance in different working positions has been done. Meanwhile
to assure the uniform of the received radiation on the target of the detector at any test points
an integrating sphere is placed behind the neutral filter to balance light. The whole measurement system mainly consists of a deuterium lamp with high stabilization

optical guide and electro-shift platform. Auto control is realized via special software during the test. With this instrument
the linearity of the UV ICCD was measured. Experimental results show that the nonlinearity of the UV ICCD under fixed-gain is less than 2% and the uncertainty of measurement system is less than 4%. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

Studying the distribution of He+ in Earth's plasmasphere by detecting its resonantly-scattered emission at 304A will record the structure and dynamics of the cold plasma in Earth's plasmasphere on a global scale. EUV imaging systems usually utilizes near normal incidence optics including multilayer mirror and filter. In this paper
the space condition of the Earth's plasmasphere to confirm the expected performance of mirror and filter for this task were analyzed and some guidelines for the design of the optical elements were introduced. In order to achieve higher response at 304A and reduce 584A radiation for the optical system
a new multilayer coating of Mo/Si with UOx (x=2-3) was developed
and it is indicated that promising filter material is Al/C with a nickel mesh. In addition
we compute the reflectance of multilayer mirror based on optical constants and the transmission of the filter based on atomic scattering factor. The results show the multilayer mirror has high reflectance of 26.27% at 304 Aand low reflectance of 0.60% at 584A. Finally
the conversion efficiency of mirror coupled with filter is 6.88% at 304A and 0.01% at 584 A.
