An optical supporting structure is studied to improve its structure stiffness and reduce the rotate error to meet the requirement of aviation remote sensor. A formula to calculate fundamental frequency is proposed using Rayleigh-Ritz method  and a method of is analyzed. By means of OPTISTRUCT software  the maximum fundamental frequency is converted to object function  the deformation under the gravity and the mass are assigned to state variable  wall thicknesses of the structure are converted to design variables. The analysis and test results indicate that the fundamental frequency of designed optical supporting structure has been improved 37.2 Hz from 96.9 Hz  which guarantee the reliability of the sweep mechanism  and the rotate error is 4.89  which is satisfied for the rotate accuracy in plunge angle. The method of optimization has a certain instructional significance for the design of supporting structures in aviation remote sensor. 2011 IEEE.

When infrared optical system works in a large temperature range  the thermal effect of optical lens and optical tube will produce image plane shift and lead to imaging quality deterioration. In order to eliminate the thermal aberration  the athermalization design principles of infrared optical system were introduced  and some commonly used methods of thermal difference compensation were described. Proceeding from single lens  the thermal difference caused by temperature changing was analyzed  and the relationship between temperature and focus shift was obtained. Considering optical tube thermal expansion  a set of equations to estimate the thermal difference of lens group was given. Finally  an infrared optical imaging system that can work under the temperature range of -40C to 60C was design according to athermal technique  in which a new mechanical passive temperature compensation was proposed. Through simulation  the athermalization design could make imaging plane shift the smallest. The simulation results coincided with the theoretical formula  and the design had reference value in engineering. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

A design method of aspherical surface for panoramic imaging system with two mirrors using multi-populations genetic algorithms is proposed. Astigmatism induced by mirrors may significantly compromise image resolution. To solve this problem  we induced algebraic expression of astigmatism in panoramic imager based on generalized Coddington equation and theory of geometric optics. Then  we propose an optimization process for mirror profile design to eliminate astigmatism and provide purposely-designed projection formula with aid of MPGA. A series of polynomial expressions of aspherical surfaces are obtained and procedures of the design are presented. In order to facilitate ray tracing and aberration calculation  even asphere surface model is obtained by using of hybrid schemes combining MPGA and damped least squares. Finally  a prototype of the catadioptric panoramic imager has been developed and panoramic ring image is obtained. 2009 SPIE.

In this paper  a method of measuring the 3-D pose of the remote revolving target such as rocket or missile by using the intersected measuring system with a proper algorithm is described. This passage creates a math model of intersected measuring system with dual - photoelectric theodolite and the formula to calculate the target attitude angles are presented.The measuring precision of this method is analyzed in detail by using the relative error theory  and then it makes optimization design for structure parameters of intersected measuring system with dual - photoelectric theodolite by computer simulation  so different optimization results according to different location of target are obtained  and the system lay-out  measuring principles are also presented. By using this method we may acquire the measuring precision higher than 0.5 if the measuring stations are arranged correctly.
