920 nm optically pumped semiconductor vertical external-cavity surface emitting laser (OPS-VECSEL) has an important application in laser display. We constructed and optimized a 920 nm OPS-VECSEL with active region of In0.09Ga0.91As quantum well (QW) system pumped by 808 nm laser diode module. By the finite element method
self-consistent solutions of the semiconductor electronic and optical equations are realized to calculate the characteristics parameters of OPS-VECSEL. The performances of device especially the mode
the threshold and the optical-optical translation efficiency were analyzed by dealing with different number of QWs (1
2 and 3) in one period

In high power TEA CO2 laser system
liquid crystal display (LCD) module is a key device for display and control functions. Because of laser's harsh electromagnetic environment
LCD module coupled to the electromagnetic interference easily
leading to not work normally. This paper analyzed the interference coupling mechanism. On the basis of the analysis results
LCD module's field-line coupling is calculated by Taylor form's BLT equation. The calculation result is verified by experiment. The results show that
due to the field-line coupling
the data line of LCD module existed interference voltage
interference voltage value is 1V. The interference voltage is larger than the LCD module's noise margin. LCD module must shield the interference. 2012 IEEE.

Considering that the requirement of industrial manufacture
An AT89S51 singlechip works as the core processor of the system. By two laser triangulation
a small thickness measurement system based on PSD and FPGA is presented. It takes S3931 PSD of one dimension as position detection device
A FPGA produces logic control signals for the whole system
the small displacement is converted to differential voltages
which is made by Hamamatsu in Japan
and after amplification and A/D transformation
8-bit parallel data is send to singlechip from FPGA by external interrupts
and the final calculation results output to the LCD display module. After digital micro meter calibration
we get the small thickness. Experiments show that the detection accuracy of the system is not less than 10um.

A new phase measurement method is designed and presented by using the technique of signal shifting phase and the technique of signal multiplication for laser rangefinder. The intensity of laser light is modulated by cosine circuit signal
at the same time the cosine circuit signal is thansformed sine signal by the shifting phase technique. Two signals mentioned above are multiplied by received signal from the target respectively
then being transmitted into signal processor after passing through low band filter respectively. The result of phase-shift between the received signal and sent signal is calculated by means of signal processor and time-counter with double frequency of modulation signal. The proposed system is composed of four units such as control and count unit
emitting and receiving unit of laser light
signal processing unit and result display unit. The two most advantages of proposed system over others are its ability of proper isolation which reduces crosstalk and its independency thermal drift. Theoretical calculations and experimental results have shown the accuracy better than 2 mm. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

This paper will introduce the principle and techniques to realize laser color video display. The characteristics of techniques and bottleneck of restricting the development are analyzed. A novel technical approach to eliminating the laser interference
improving the uniformity of optical field
transforming the chromaticity and extending the virtual color is proposed. The principle device of laser display system has been produced on the basis of the blue
green and red diode-pumped solid state lasers. The wavelengths of the blue
green and red are respectively 473nm
532nm and 671 nm. The output powers of the lasers are 1.3W
0.32W and 3.5W respectively.
