Firstly we will show the causations which influence the code slot to correct the coarse code. Secondly  we will reckon the range of the coarse code caused by the width of the code slot. Finally  we will design the code slot of the Composite Optical Encoder. It is proved that the new code slot could make the coarse signal steady and reliable during - 40C+60C. That is very important to improve the stabilization and the reliability of the Composite Optical Encoder. 2010 IEEE.
