A flexible, dynamically programmable and low-cost method applicable to micro-patterning of a conductive polymer/carbon nanotube composite solution is significant due to the potential applications in many areas. This paper demonstrates a new micro-patterning method for fabricating electrodes from a conductive polyaniline (PANI)/MWNT composite using an optically-induced electrokinetics (OEK) chip. This method quickly patterns flexible polymeric electrodes with different geometries when a square waveform signal with amplitudes from 16-20 Volts and frequencies from 20-30 kHz are applied. The geometric dimensions of the electrodes can be varied dynamically by controlling the size and exposure time of the light pattern. The surface morphology of electrodes patterned by this method is scanned by an atomic force microscope (AFM) and a scanning electron microscope (SEM) which show that the electrodes are uniform and continuous. Furthermore, the geometric dimensions and resistances of the electrodes are measured and analyzed. Experimental results reveal that the relationship between the resistance and geometries of the electrodes obey Ohm's law and the resistivity of the electrodes is about 0.03 Omega.m.

This paper presents the digital PI control method for design and simulation of a high precision limited angle brushless torque motor control system in Field Programmable Gate Array device (FPGA). The direct drive structures which are widely applied in many servo control fields. Matlab Xilinx System GeneratorR toolbox based on Fixed-Point Arithmetic is used to design the digital PI controller using DSP architecture  plot the responses of the control system and generate the VHDL source code. The control system model consists of a digital PI  a real LABTM  and a real absolute Inductosyn  encoder to rpm and position blocks. Through loading generated codes in process of the simulation that built by the digital discrete model  it is verified that the rising time of current loop is only 1.2ms  and rate loop is 8ms  overshoot is rarely 4.2%. Finally  the comprehensive positioning accuracy of system can reach up to 5 arc sec  and the rate jitter achieves 5% with the 4 arc sec accuracy absolute Inductosyn. The coaxial two-mirror telescope consists of two mirrors facing each other. Classical two-mirror arrangements are Gregorian and Cassegrain. These systems are usually applied to space telescopes and often have optical baffles to prevent stray light from entering the focal plane. The optical baffles consist of concentric rings suspended between the secondary and the primary mirror. The secondary baffle for a large two-mirror optical system is designed and analyzed in this paper. According to mission of a telescope  the structure should have high stiffness and high reliability and light weight. Compared with invar  aluminum alloy and titanium alloy  carbon fiber composite is currently the best material in terms of weight-to-strength ratio. It also has advantages of high temperature tolerance and low thermal expansion. So carbon fiber composite is chosen as material to meet requirements of the coaxial telescope. In this paper  optimization method based on finite element analysis (FEA) is used for design the secondary baffle. Minimum weight of the baffle is chosen as an objective function. Thicknesses of former tube and vanes are chosen as variables. Analysis results show that the designed secondary baffle has maximum diameter of 180mm  total length of 120mm and weighs 142g. And its fundamental frequency reaches 651Hz. Therefore the baffle has many advantages  such as ultra-light weight  high stiffness and dimensional stability  etc. The optimization method and the baffle design can be helpful to other coaxial telescopes  such as Cassegrain  Gregorian and their subdivisions. 2012 IEEE.

Image registration is a key technique in pattern recognition and image processing  and it is widely used in many application areas such as computer vision  remote sensing  image fusion and object tracking. A method for image registration combining Mexican-hat wavelets and pseudo-Zernike moments is proposed. Firstly  feature points are extracted using scale-interaction Mexican-hat wavelets in the reference image and sensed image respectively. Then  pseudo-Zernike moments are used to match them and classical RANSAC used to eliminate the wrong matches. And then  the well match points are used to estimate the best affine transform parameters by least squares minimization. At last  the sensed image is transformed and resampled to accomplish the image registration. The experiments indicate that the proposed algorithm extracts feature points and matches them exactly and eliminates wrong matched points effectively and achieves nice registration results. 2012 TSI Press.

Aerospace Relay Mirror System (ARMS) as a new concept weapon used in reflection of High Energy Laser (HEL) in space is studied. It extends the attacking range of Ground Based Laser (GBL) weapons enormously. Relevant researches have been carried out for many years. The structures and operating theory of the entire system consists of ground-based high energy laser weapon and space-based relay mirror. The main work of this study is focused on the analysis of relay mirror energy characteristics to deduce the relationship among the attacking range of weapon and diameter of ARMS and target irradiance. Calculation examples are also given. The results proved the strong points and feasibility of ARMS theoretically further. It is summarized that more importance should be attached to ARMS development. The results given in this paper can be reference of an actual ARMS system to some extends. 2011 IEEE.

Drift angle is a transverse intersection angle of vector of image motion of the space camera. Adjusting the angle could reduce the influence on image quality. Ultrasonic motor (USM) is a new type of actuator using ultrasonic wave stimulated by piezoelectric ceramics. They have many advantages in comparison with conventional electromagnetic motors. In this paper  some improvement was designed for control system of drift adjusting mechanism. Based on ultrasonic motor T-60 was designed the drift adjusting system  which is composed of the drift adjusting mechanical frame  the ultrasonic motor  the driver of Ultrasonic Motor  the photoelectric encoder and the drift adjusting controller. The TMS320F28335 DSP was adopted as the calculation and control processor  photoelectric encoder was used as sensor of position closed loop system and the voltage driving circuit designed as generator of ultrasonic wave. It was built the mathematic model of drive circuit of the ultrasonic motor T-60 using matlab modules. In order to verify the validity of the drift adjusting system  was introduced the source of the disturbance  and made simulation analysis. It designed the control systems of motor drive for drift adjusting system with the improved PID control. The drift angle adjusting system has such advantages as the small space  simple configuration  high position control precision  fine repeatability  self locking property and low powers. It showed that the system could accomplish the mission of drift angle adjusting excellent. 2011 SPIE.
