This paper represents a technique to produce the large size optical aspherical mirror by using reaction-bonded silicon carbide to meet the material requirements of the space used mirrors  based on the characters comparison of all types mirror material. Techniques are described in this paper  including the bonding procedure of silicon carbide to form a mirror shape  the CCOM technology for aspheric grinding  polishing on a home-developed tool -FSGJ-2  and the aspheric profilometry. A specialized Offner Null lens is also developed to measure the aspherical mirror with laser interferometer. With the technology depicted in the paper  a 502mm 298 mm off-axis SiC aspherical mirror is successfully made with a surface accuracy better than 1/50rms  the final result meets the design requirement. This paper introduces the infrared optical system in the Tokamak fusion reaction device. In this optical system  3.the relay group lenses. This paper describes the decrease of the modulation transfer function (MTF) when the temperature changes and how to compensate the decrease of the MTF in order to maintain the image quality in a high level. As a result  the traditional optical structure can't meet the requirements  2.the Cassegrain system  the image quality of this optical system can reach the requirements when the temperature changes. 2011 Copyright Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE).  because the length of the infrared optical system in the Tokamak is very long. Asphericity which affects the manufacturing process and the grinding quantity is an important parameter of optical aspherics. In this paper  the approximation  the least square fitting  wavefront aberration  sag methods are given for the calculation of optical asphericity. The effects of different definitions of optical asphericity are analysed to optimize the process of manufacture. A sag method is presented to solve the best-fit sphere and asphericity for an off-aixs aspheric mirror with a rectangle aperture of 180mm145mm  and polishing quantity and distribution plots are given. The optical manufacturing and testing technology for different choices of best-fit spheres and asphericity are described and analyzed. Therefore  proper definition of optical asphericity which is useful to manufacturing is very important for optical fabrication and test. 2009 SPIE.

Testing of mid-frequency surface error is of the first importance for fast optics  especially for large aperture aspherics. Foucault test plays a dominant role for surface error inspection before the digital interferometer age  but it seems to have faded out these days because no quantitative results turn out. However  an interferometer with high resolution CCDs is either unavailable or unaccessible in the process of manufacture. As its advantages are realized and recognized for the second time  Foucault test is going back to the stage again. A new theory of calculating the contrast of the shadow pattern of Foucault test is put forward in this paper and some modifications are discussed upon the analyses of the limitation of traditional Foucault apparatus. A paraboloidal mirror was fabricated and tested by the modified Foucault apparatus whose effect has been proved to be great. The methods of controlling mid-frequency error are described in the other paper at this conference- "Multi-mode combine manufacturing technology for large aperture aspheric mirrors"1.
