RS code is a linear error correction codes with better error correction capability  is widely used in different kinds of occasions for communications or data storage. But for its high difficulty of coding and decoding algorithm and low throughput  optimization RS algorithm is always studied as one of the focus in the error-correction field. A new coding method  parallel coding and decoding data into groups in lower step finite field for avoiding complex matrix iteration and Chien search computation  is proposed in this paper. It is proved that the coding and decoding throughput of the parallel grouping RS coder is increased and the hardware complexity is reduced with changeless error-correction capability from the simulation results using ModelSim SE 6.0 and synthetic results using ISE 9.11. 2010 IEEE.

We propose a new high speed  low memory SPECK image coder based on the form of block-unit states  called LBUS-SPECK  which uses the form of block-unit states and the form of block exponents to substitute LIS and LSP of SPECK. A form of block-unit states is introduced to store the significance flag of coefficients and the value of the block-unit exponents. A form of block exponents is introduced to store the block exponents which are used to represent the max coefficient in a decomposed block. A new block depth-finding strategy is developed for searching insignificant sets at sorting stage. Experimental results show that the obtained PSNR values for the decoded images are very close to those of SPECK algorithm and the memory consumption is reduced by 9 times  the encoding timing is saved about 15%. Comparing with SPECK algorithm  this algorithm not only has better performance of the decoded images  but also is easy to implement  especially  it provides an efficient way for hardware implementation of wavelet embedded block coding. 2007 IEEE.

During the procedure of target tracing  lots of stars will cross the field of view. These stars will disturb the procedure and  the precision of system will be degraded. At the same time  because the optical surveillance system is limited by environment  the targets are often covered by clouds. The above situations will seriously degrade the system's robustness  and once the target is disappeared  the traditional system can't track the target again. Traditional forecast methods merely use coder information  so the precision is low. In order to upgrade the precision  we combine the coder information and the missdistance to forecast the next frame target position. The method is based on field range enlargement. Proved by practical experiments  this method can effectively improve the robustness of the target tracking system. 2006 IEEE.
