Nickel based catalyst is of interest in the industrial catalytic processes
and it is always modified by doping a second element to improve its catalytic properties. Understanding the role of dopant is extremely helpful in tailoring the active centers. In this work
Zn could induce a significant improvement of the catalytic performance of NiAl for the hydrogenolysis of glycerol. The Zn doped ZnNiAl catalysts exhibited high activity and the improved selectivity to 1
2-propanediol
it was about 2 times higher than the original ones. The ZnNi alloy formed in ZnNiAl was responsible for the noticeable catalytic performance. They preferred to coordinate with the end hydroxyl group of glycerol
promoted the cleavage of C-O bond in glycerol
and resulted in the dominant formation of 1
2-propanediol. The findings described here will provide a useful knowledge for rational design of nickel-based catalysts
as well as reveal a new reaction model for the hydrogenolysis of glycerol. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Ground-based infrared imaging tracking system (GIITS) is of great importance for aerial target warning and guard. The operating range is one of the key performance specifications

calculate the radiation power received on the detector in order to analysis whether the output signal meets the detection requirements or not
analyzed and studied during the whole GIITS design process. The operating range is mostly influenced by a few factors
without considering the effect of the background radiation. By improving of the traditional method
including atmospheric attenuation
a new operating range calculation model of the GIITS was established based on two requirements. One is that the image size of observed target should meet the requirement of the processor signal extraction. The number of the pixel occupied by target image should be more than 9. The other is that the signal noise ratio (SNR) of the GIITS should not be less than 5 to meet the requirements of the target detection probability and spatial frequency. The SNR calculation equation in form of energy is deduced and the radiation characteristic of the observed target and background are analyzed. When evaluate the operating range of the GIITS using the new method
the performance of GIITS and feature of target and background. This paper firstly makes analysis and summarization on the definite localizations of the traditional operating range equation of the GIITS. The localizations are mainly in two aspects. On one hand
we should successively calculate two operating range values according to two requirements mentioned above and choose the minimum value as the analytic result. In the end
the dispersion of the image and the effect of image dispersion are not considered in the traditional method
an evaluation of operating range for fighter aircraft is accomplished as an example. The influence factors in every aspect on operating range were explored by the calculated result. LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite networks are capable of providing broadband access to end users in any part of the world. With the characteristics of high-speed movement and rapid dynamic topology of LEO satellites
networking has always been one of the key issues in LEO satellite network. MPLS-TP (Multi-Protocol Label Switching-Transport Profile) is an excellent packet transport network (PTN) technology in terrestrial networks
which can support multi-service and have perfect function of QoS (Quality of Service)
OAM (Operation Administration Maintenance) and survivability. In this paper
the characteristics of LEO satellite network and functional architecture of MPLS-TP are introduced. Then an advanced LEO satellite network model based on MPLS-TP (ALSN-M) is proposed
which can guarantee a connection-oriented seamless data transmission. Furthermore topology and routing algorithms of proposed LEO satellite network model is analyzed. In the end
the paper describes how to setup and remove a LSP (Label Switched Path) and how to maintain an exiting LSP when a handover happens.

Computer Controlled Optical Surfacing (CCOS) is widely used for making optical aspheric mirrors. In the practical fabrication
edge effect is an important problem which restricts the fabrication efficiency and accuracy seriously. In this paper
the edge effect is solved by working out the edge removal function and compensate with dwell time function. Skin Model is used to describe the pressure distribution when the tool hangs over the work-piece. The calculation model of edge removal function is derived from Skin Model theoretically. A removal function experiment is completed. The difference between the theoretical model and the experiment results is less than 5%. It means that the calculation model is suit for the practical fabrication. Than the dwell time is solved with edge effect compensation by matrix-based algorithm. In the end

In Computer Controlled Optical Surfacing (CCOS)
polishing tool-path is the base of solving other control parameters such as dwell time. In order to improve the fabrication results of polishing off-axis aspheric
a novel method to optimize the tool-path is discussed in this paper. The optimizing method named weighted-iterative algorithm is according to the balance principle of the particle system. The power factor of each dwell point represents the requirement of dwell density. Considering the factors which influence the polishing result
the power factors cosist of three elements include constant
error distribution and dwell distance of workpiece edge. The tool-path is solved by numerical iterative method. In the end
an error data is simulated with actual parameters using the matrix-based algorithm with two different tool-paths. The one is X-Y uniform spacing model and the other one is to optimize it based on the first. The comparison shows that the results of the optimized one are much better than traditional one
especially the rms convergence rate. Theory of the algorithm is simple and exercisable
and it satisfies practical requirement as well. 2009 SPIE.

A review of high-speed flow pressure and aerodynamic heating effect on Supersonic missile's dome is given. The dome should have excellent properties in optical
mechanical and chemical characteristics. A design of dome on supersonic mode is described according to tactical guide line of a missile. The dome made of quartz which is about 8mm thick and 141mm in window diameter. To check up the reliability of the dome
a reasonable finite element model (FEM) of dome is established
and a thermal-mechanical Analysis to the dome by finite element software NASTRAN has carried on
through these can obtained the distribution of temperature field and stress field when the speed is 2.3Ma. The results indicated that the stress was concentrated in the joint of the dome end and the Missile Section
and the maximum stress was 16.4Mpa. The stress of other nodes was smaller than the allowable stress of quartz glass. Reference to the results of the analysis
a lightweight revision to the dome structural dimension and a new method of dome fixing have put forward
which can reduce the stress concentration. 2009 SPIE.

In this paper
in order to be more sensitive to the volumetric changes of capillaries in the skin
the photon propagation process in human brain tissue and skin tissue with various source and detector separation distances were simulated based on the Monte Carlo method. The human brain model and the skin model that were used in our experiments have five layers and seven layers
the separation distance of source and detector should be approximately eight millimeters. Future work was discussed at the end of the paper. 2009 IEEE.
