Aspheres are utilized widely thanks to the development of optical design
manufacture and testing. Compensators are usually necessary when aspheres are under test. The alignment of aspheres and their compensators is a risk because it's tough to check whether the compensators work in right way. A new method of alignment with four poles is put forward in this paper. Optical interval error can be tight while it is quite important due to direct influence on central curvature
conic constant and high order coefficients of aspherical surface. A modified on-axis Foucault apparatus is set up since it makes the optical axis visible and helps to control the error of off-axis amount. Some small holes are drilled in the metallic cell of the compensator so that the ends of poles can be stably relied on in order to increase operational repeatability. The method has been carried out practically and it matches the measurement result given by a set of theodolites. 2009 SPIE.

A novel method for small roll angle measurement based on auto-collimation and moire fringe is presented. A right-angle prism is used as an indicator of small roll angle around the optical axis
and a CCD is used to collect moire fringes that are generated by scale grating image which is reflected by prism and index grating. Any small roll angle of the prism will change the include angle of the grating pair and meanwhile induce a change in the moire fringe period. The relationship between roll angle and period of moire fringes is established. The period data is obtained by image processing. The experimental result certifies that the principle of small angle measurement method based on auto-collimation and moire fringe is correct and feasible. The measuring error is smaller than 0.2 within 7 range compared with 0.2 autocollimator. 2009 SPIE.

A method for small three-dimensional (3D) angle measurement based on auto-collimation and moire fringe is proposed and analyzed. A right-angle prism is used as the indicator of angle change. The inclined plane indicates the pitch and yaw angles and roll angle in indicated by the rib which is the intersection of two right-angle sides. Pitch and yaw angles measurement are implemented by auto-collimation based on reticule and roll angle measurement is measured based on moire fringe. Roll angle measurement is separated from pitch and yaw by using two light sources with different frequencies. Any small change of pitch and roll angles will induce the shift of the reticule image after reflecting by inclined plane. And any small roll angle will induce a change in moire fringe width that is generated by scale grating image which is reflected by the prism and index grating. The math model of this method is built up and error analysis is presented. The theoretical calculation results show that the proposed method is feasible and can achieve high accuracy. 2009 SPIE.

Based on laser optical triangulation displacement and grating displacement inspecting principle
optoelectronic non-contact inspecting method and inspecting system for the taper of small-calibre bore are presented. In this paper
the constitute and overall structure of the system are described. Then
the taper inspecting method and principle of the bore are discussed and theoretically analyzed
and also
the corresponding mathematics model is established. As inner diameter measurement is an important parameter for the taper of small-bore
an inner diameter laser non-contact measuring method is presented based on the structure characteristic of the taper of small-calibre bore
which adopted optoelectronic probe sensitive device (PSD) and laser optical triangulation inspecting principle. And then
the laser probe inner diameter measuring system is designed based them. Moreover
the measuring principle
the project of optical system of this measuring system are illuminated in detail in this article. The accuracy of inspecting system is verified by experiment. The results showed that the measuring error of inspecting system is superior to 0.005
and the inspecting repetition is superior to 0.003. It indicates that the system can fulfill the inspecting accuracy demand for inspecting the taper of the small-calibre bore
and the inspecting method is applicable.
