Glacial HisTories From The East Antarctic Ice Sheet (Eais) Provide Keys To UnderstAndIng Correlations Between The Eats And Global Climate. They Are Especially Helpful In The Assessment Of Global Sea Level Change  And As a Means Of Quantifying The Magnitude Of pAst Glacial Activity And The RAte At Which Ice Responded To climAte Change. Given The Significance Of Eais Glacial hisTories  It Is Imperative That More Glacial Chronologic Data For thIs Region Be Obtained  Especially For The Mid-to-lAte Pleistocene. We Report Cosmogenic Be-10 Surface Exposure DAtIng Results From Glacially Transported Cobbles Embedded In Blue-ice moraIne MAterial At Mount hardIng  The Grove Mountains  Eais. Forty Exotic Cobbles Sampled AlOng Two PrOfiles (a And b) On This Blue-ice MoraIne Present Apparent Exposure-ages RangIng From 7.2 To 542.2 Ka. We Explore This Scattered Dataset By UsIng PrIncipal compOnent Analysis (Pca) To Identify Statistically Significant Trends In The Data. We Identify a correlatiOn betWeen Exposure-age And Distance Of The Cobbles From Mount hardIng. In prOfile a  Cobbles Further From Mount HardIng Yield Older Exposure-ages Than Those That Are Relatively Close. In Profile b  Cobbles Closer To Mount HardIng Are Found To Have Relatively Older Exposure-ages. In Term Of Glacial hisTory We Suggest That The Direction Of Ice Flow Changed durIng The Period From Similar To 60 To 200 Ka  And That Multiple Glacial Fluctuations Occurred In The Mid-late Pleistocene. The CCD plane of the space tridimensional mapping camera will be deviated from the focal plane(including the CCD plane deviated due to camera focal length changed)  under the condition of space environment and vibration  impact when satellite is launching  image resolution ratio will be descended because defocusing. For tridimensional mapping camera  principal point position and focal length variation of the camera affect positioning accuracy of ground target  conventional solution is under the condition of vacuum and focusing range  calibrate the position of CCD plane with code of photoelectric encoder  when the camera defocusing in orbit  the magnitude and direction of defocusing amount are obtained by photoelectric encoder  then the focusing mechanism driven by step motor to compensate defocusing amount of the CCD plane. For tridimensional mapping camera  under the condition of space environment and vibration  impact when satellite is launching  if the camera focal length changes  above focusing method has been meaningless. Thus  the measuring and focusing method was put forward based on astigmation  a quadrant detector was adopted to measure the astigmation caused by the deviation of the CCD plane  refer to calibrated relation between the CCD plane poison and the asrigmation  the deviation vector of the CCD plane can be obtained. This method includes all factors caused deviation of the CCD plane  experimental results show that the focusing resolution of mapping camera focusing mechanism based on astigmatic method can reach 0.25 m. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

Image segmentation is primary issue in image processing  at the same time it is principal problem in low level vision in computer vision field. It is the key technology to process image analysis  image comprehend and image depict successfully. Aim at measurement of granularity size of nonmetal grain  a new algorithm of image segmentation and parameters calculation for overlapping grain image is studied. The hypostasis of this algorithm is present some new attributes of graph sequence from discrete attribute of graph  consequently achieve that pick up the geometrical characteristics from input graph  and new graph sequence which in favor of image segmentation is recombined. The conception that image edge denoted with "twin-point" is put forward  base on geometrical characters of point  image edge is transformed into serial edge  and on recombined serial image edge  based on direction vector definition of line and some additional restricted conditions  the segmentation twin-points are searched with  thus image segmentation is accomplished. Serial image edge is transformed into twin-point pattern  to realize calculation of area and granularity size of nonmetal grain. The inkling and uncertainty on selection of structure element which base on mathematical morphology are avoided in this algorithm  and image segmentation and parameters calculation are realized without changing grain's self statistical characters.
