A Local Image Enhancement Method Based on Adjacent Pixel Gray Order-preserving Principle 会议论文  OAI收割

The paper is committed in local image enhancement. At first, the authors propose an adjacent pixel gray order-preserving principle. Adjacent pixel gray order-preserving principle is the basement of local enhancement method which ensures that there is no distortion in processed image. And then, the authors propose an iterative algorithm, which could stretch gray-scale difference of adjacent pixels in premise of not changing gray magnitude relationship between adjacent pixels. At last, the authors propose a totally reference image quality assessment method based on adjacent pixel gray order-preserving principle. According to this quality assessment method, the authors made a set of comparative experiments with local histogram equalization and method. Experimental results show that the proposed enhancement method can get higher score and provide better visual effects, fully demonstrating its effectiveness. According to this quality assessment method, the proposed method shows a good effectiveness, through experimental results and comparison with local histogram equalization method.

When infrared optical system works in a large temperature range  the thermal effect of optical lens and optical tube will produce image plane shift and lead to imaging quality deterioration. In order to eliminate the thermal aberration  the athermalization design principles of infrared optical system were introduced  and some commonly used methods of thermal difference compensation were described. Proceeding from single lens  the thermal difference caused by temperature changing was analyzed  and the relationship between temperature and focus shift was obtained. Considering optical tube thermal expansion  a set of equations to estimate the thermal difference of lens group was given. Finally  an infrared optical imaging system that can work under the temperature range of -40C to 60C was design according to athermal technique  in which a new mechanical passive temperature compensation was proposed. Through simulation  the athermalization design could make imaging plane shift the smallest. The simulation results coincided with the theoretical formula  and the design had reference value in engineering. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

Partial occlusion is a difficult problem in computer vision since whether the object is changed or occluded is ambiguous  especially when distinguishing it only from the object boundary. In this paper  we proposed a novel idea to solve this problem by taking shape matching as a morphing processing. A mass-spring model is constructed from the point set which is sampled from a template (or reference) object boundary by moving it to a target object which is deformed and/or occluded. From the morphing processing  sufficient information can be obtained and an accurate detection of occlusion is performed. By using of the proposed method  the application scope of occlusion detection is expanded while other method cannot be performed which need color  texture  or motion information. The experiments performed on synthetic and real world images proved the satisfactory performance of the proposed method. 2009 IEEE.
