It is a technical difficulty to test the unsymmtrical optical surfaces in non-contact methods. But we can do it using computer-generated holograms (CGH). The principle and design of the CGH have been discussed in the paper. Take the cubic suface as an example
The order separation of the CGH is analyzed theoretically and the simulation result of the order separation is given in the paper. We develop the binary process of the continuous CGH phase function and get the sample of the amplitude CGH. A CGH for testing a cubic phase plate with duty cycle 0.5 is fabricated by using e-beam lithographic techniques. In this situation
the contrast of the interference fringe pattern can achieve a level of 99.4% by calculation. 2012 IEEE.

Testing of mid-frequency surface error is of the first importance for fast optics
especially for large aperture aspherics. Foucault test plays a dominant role for surface error inspection before the digital interferometer age
but it seems to have faded out these days because no quantitative results turn out. However
an interferometer with high resolution CCDs is either unavailable or unaccessible in the process of manufacture. As its advantages are realized and recognized for the second time
Foucault test is going back to the stage again. A new theory of calculating the contrast of the shadow pattern of Foucault test is put forward in this paper and some modifications are discussed upon the analyses of the limitation of traditional Foucault apparatus. A paraboloidal mirror was fabricated and tested by the modified Foucault apparatus whose effect has been proved to be great. The methods of controlling mid-frequency error are described in the other paper at this conference- "Multi-mode combine manufacturing technology for large aperture aspheric mirrors"1.

This paper presents a method for detecting and tracking of low contrast targets. The new method uses an integer-type lifting wavelet transform and the proposed method doesn't extract patterns similar to a template
but finds parts having the same feature in the targets. We utilize one of integer-type lifting wavelet transforms that contains rounding-off arithmetic for mapping integers to integers. The lifting term contains parameters that are learned by using standard training images of targets. We assume that the targets include many high frequency components. In order to obtain the features of the targets
the lifting parameters are determined by a condition that high frequency components are vanished in wavelet transform. But the condition cannot be determined by the parameters wholly. So
we put an additional condition of minimizing the squared sum of the lifting parameters. The advantage of using integer-type wavelet transform is simple and robust to noise. Simulation illustrated the approach can detect and track the moving targets in dim background. We would test our algorithm in the TV tracking system.

This paper discusses image's object edge extracting of threshold value. First
this paper introduces fundamental principle of gray image object edge extracting
after discussing the influence of object edge image's gray scale distributing characteristic and choice of threshold value to character extracting and target identification
we bring forward a sort of method
which using object edge fuzzy taxonomy and maximum fuzzy entropy theory to auto choose threshold value in the case that membership function is given
then we have a test of threshold value segmentation to edge gray image in different contrast
the result indicates this method has preferable scene adaptive faculty.

According to Generic Reliability Assurance Requirements for Passive Optical Components GR-1221-CORE (Issue 2

reliability determination test of different kinds of passive optical components which using in uncontrolled environments is taken. The test condition of High Temperature Storage Test (Dry Test) and Damp Test is in below sheet. Except for humidity condition
all is same. In order to save test time and cost
after a sires of contrast tests
the replacement of Dry Heat is discussed. Controlling the Failure mechanism of dry heat and damp heat of passive optical components
the contrast test of dry heat and damp heat for passive optical components (include DWDM
CWDM
Coupler
Isolator
mini Isolator) is taken. The test result of isolator is listed. Telcordia test not only test the reliability of the passive optical components
but also test the patience of the experimenter. The cost of Telcordia test in money
manpower and material resources
especially in time is heavy burden for the company. After a series of tests
we can find that Damp heat could factually test the reliability of passive optical components
and equipment manufacturer in accord with component manufacture could omit the dry heat test if damp heat test is taken first and passed.

In this paper
the time of feature extraction is faster. By test in low contrast image
