In order to find out the relationships between the four error sources
namely
locating error
optics system fluctuations
sampling error and temperature fluctuations
and the accuracy of the instrument
we analyzed each relationship of them
and found that the effect of locating error is so tiny that it can be ignored
finally established the total error model and the model of the allowed noise of the optics system of the instrument. Analysis and the models may supply a reliable theory evidence for the improvement of the instrument and the designing of similar instruments. 2011 Springer-Verlag.

A non-linear light-of-sight(LOS) locating compensation algorithm for certain aerial remote sensor is presented in this paper. The LOS locating system is composed of two main components
which are an inertial reference frame to provide coarse LOS locating and a 2-axis Fast Steering Mirror to remove the frame's residual error. The azimuth and elevation of LOS are both affected by the FSM two-degree-of-freedom rotation
which should be dealt with to raise the accuracy of LOS location. This paper extrapolates LOS locating algorithm of FSM by coordinate transformation
and gives corresponding deviation analysis for different LOS poiting angles. It is found that the angle deviation grows rapidly with range of FSM's travel enlarging
so the deviation must be eliminated. Through the data analysis for deviation
a non-linear compensation algorithm is proved effective to reduce the error of LOS significantly. Taking LOS changing in [-3 deg
3 deg] as an example
two analytic expressions are given
and the LOS locating accuracy rises by 34 times compared with non-linear compensation unused
and the cross coupling of LOS loating is 0.08%. 2011 IEEE.

Today aircraft attitude measurement technology plays an important role in an aircraft system because it can provide orientation for aircraft in action. Lately star sensor technology used in aircraft attitude measurement has become more and more popular because of its high accuracy

without attitude accumulation errors and other advantages. There are three main steps for star sensor to measure aircraft attitude
star image locating
star identification and attitude tracking. The latter two steps are based on the accuracy of star image locating. So it's critical to make efforts to advance the accuracy of star image locating. Some imaging errors
such as spherical aberration or coma aberration
also have negative effect on the accuracy of star image locating
of which the effect is necessarily reduced as well. At the beginning of this article
the structure of star sensor hardware is introduced. Secondly three methods for star image locating are described specifically
which are traditional centroid method
Gauss quadric fitting method and improved Gauss quadric fitting method. Subsequently an imaging calibration method is described for the purpose of reducing the effect of imaging errors. Finally the experiment shows that the accuracy of the star sensor is 2-arc-second. 2010 SPIE.

Nowadays star sensor technology used in aircraft attitude measurement has become more and more popular for its high precision
light weight
without attitude accumulation errors and other advantages. In order to enhance the accuracy of star sensor
it is critical to make efforts to promote the precision of star image locating. High precision star image locating method mentioned in this article includes two aspects. One is sub-pixel dividing algorithm used to acquire the coordinate of stars. The other one is imaging calibration method used to weaken the effect caused by imaging distortion. This method is finally realized in some type of star sensor system. Then an experiment is designed to verify the precision of the method. The result of the experiment shows that the precision of the method is 2" in the experimental environment. 2010 IEEE.

A line-of-sight (LOS) Locating algorithm for staring imaging is presented in this paper. Staring imaging is an imaging mode for aerial remote sensor
which photographs the designated earth-fixed target in muItidirections. Therefore
the details of interesting targets is available. For the target obscured or disguised
its advantage becomes more apparent. This paper proposes the method using two-axis rotation to achieve staring imaging
and establishes the system model and the associated coordinates. Adopting the method of coordinate transformation
the LOS Locating algorithm is constructed
which determines the LOS direction. For the validation of algorithm
Target Geolocation Algorithm is established using Simulink library blocks. Eventually
it proves the feasibility of the LOS Locating algorithm. This article provides a thought of LOS Locating algorithm for staring imaging. The method of coordinate transformation used in this paper can be applied to line-of-sight positioning in other imaging modes. 2010 IEEE.
