A review of high-speed flow pressure and aerodynamic heating effect on Supersonic missile's dome is given. The dome should have excellent properties in optical
mechanical and chemical characteristics. A design of dome on supersonic mode is described according to tactical guide line of a missile. The dome made of quartz which is about 8mm thick and 141mm in window diameter. To check up the reliability of the dome
a reasonable finite element model (FEM) of dome is established
and a thermal-mechanical Analysis to the dome by finite element software NASTRAN has carried on
through these can obtained the distribution of temperature field and stress field when the speed is 2.3Ma. The results indicated that the stress was concentrated in the joint of the dome end and the Missile Section
and the maximum stress was 16.4Mpa. The stress of other nodes was smaller than the allowable stress of quartz glass. Reference to the results of the analysis
a lightweight revision to the dome structural dimension and a new method of dome fixing have put forward
which can reduce the stress concentration. 2009 SPIE.

Current research on infrared simulation often focuses mainly on infrared imaging simulation by computer and pays little attention to outdoor simulation of infrared radiation characteristics of targets. In order to simulate infrared radiance of targets outdoors
in this paper we propose a new outdoor simulation method on the basis of heating the cloth by electricity. There are two major contributions in the paper. Firstly
uneven distributing of temperature field of the cloth surface is considered and the long-wave thermal imager is used as a link of the temperature control system. On the basis of many experiments
the expression is concluded about the relation of the temperature obtained by the lone-wave thermal imager and the temperature obtained by the temperature control system and the environmental temperature at the experimental scene. Secondly
the influence of the environment at the experimental scene on the infrared radiance of the cloth surface is thought over. Thanks to two measures above
simulation precision of infrared radiance is made much better. The results of many outdoor experiments demonstrate the performance of the proposed approach. 2009 SPIE.

Selectively oxidized InGaAs/GaAs vertical -cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSEL) array at an emission wavelength of 980nm was reported. A 16 elements array with 200m aperture size (250m center spacing) of individual elements shows a CW output power of 1.21 W at room temperature
resulting in 1 KW/cm2 average optical power density. The device threshold current is 1.32A The lasing peak wavelength is 981.9 nm
the full width at half-maximum is 0.7 nm
and the far-field divergence angle is about 17.The characteristics of a single device with a active region diameter of 800m is compared with that of a 2-D array with active region diameter of individual clement of 200m. These two kinds of devices have the same total lasing area. At the same current injection
the single device has a higher threshold and a higher output power than the array. The red shift of single device is more obvious than that of the array's.

The high power bottom-emitting vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) and laser arrays emitting at 980 nm are reported. Extensive investigations on size scaling behavior of thermal properties of single devices show limits of attainable output characteristics. The maximum continuous wave (CW) output power at room temperature of single devices with aperture size up to 500 m is as high as 1.95 W. The key characteristics such as maximum output power
wavelength and thermal resistance are discussed. The bottom-emitting arrays of 16 elements and 200 m aperture size of individual elements show output power of CW 1.35 W at room temperature. The far-field angle is below 17 for all driving current
which is very favorable for focusing or collmating optics.
