Image motion compensation is significantly important for aerial camera photograph. To execute the compensation  we must determine the image motion exactly. This paper proposes a method of real-time image motion measurement for panoramic aerial cameras based on image processing using a hybrid system. Two cameras are simultaneously used in the hybrid system. One main linear CCD for imaging  while the other auxiliary low resolution high frame rate area CCD for determining the image motion based on 2D spatial correlation. The demanding computational requirements for the real-time 2D spatial correlation are covered by a joint transform optical correlator. Simulation test results show that the accuracy is improved and the measurement error is within 0.2 pixels for input images with SNR=1 dB. 2010 IEEE.

In order to eliminate the influence of aircraft attitude angle to the image quality of space camera  and assure that the drift angle of space camera could be accurately adjusted at the orbit  a novel closed-loop test method is provided for real-time drift angle adjustment of space camera on the Earth. A long focal length dynamic aim generator is applied to simulate the image motion and the variety drift angle  and to detect the precision of the image motion compensation machinery and the capability of the drift angle control system. The computer system is used to control the dynamic aim generator  accomplish the data processing  transmit and receive the data information. The seamless connection and the data transmission between the aim generator and the aircraft simulation devices are constituted. The command  parameter and drift angle data transmitted by the simulation devices are received by the space camera at the real time  then the photos are taken and the draft angle is adjusted simultaneously. It is shown that the drift angle can be accurately tracked by the space camera at the real time  and the detective method satisfies the test requirement. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

Two-axis optoelectronic tracking equipments generally use such mode that azimuth and pitch system are independently controlled. It leads to the two structures completely uncoupled  therefore  and reduces the state space dimension. But the main problem is that the rotational inertia of azimuth is much larger than that of pitch  it is an effective control mode to the two-axis photoelectric tracking equipments.  which leads its dynamic tracking performance is worse. So to find a more suitable mechanics and more effective control strategy is necessary. Considering the tracking ability  this paper designs BMC (bandwidth mutual compensation) to uniformly correct the error of both the azimuth and pitch system in real time  it is realized by cross coupling control to the azimuth and pitch. The simulation result verified that compared with classical uncoupling system BMS not only guarantees the state space dimension but improves systematic tracking performance about 2
