Structural design of large aperture mirror is one of the key technologies for space telescope development. To meet the requirements of high stiffness
strength and thermal dimensional stability
some factors such as support scheme
materials selection
lightweight design and flexible support design were taken into account. The three supports location of the mirror was determined according to the modal analytical solution. By adjusting the parameters of flexure hinge
influences of gravity
assembly stress and thermal stress on the mirror were reduced obviously. Finite element analysis (FEA) results indicate that the surface accuracy reach to rms10.2nm and 10.8nm under the gravity along optical axis direction and 5C uniform temperature rise respectively
the fundamental frequency of the mirror component is 268Hz. Dynamics test shows that the first order natural frequency is 256Hz
which shows an error less than 5% compared to FEA results. (2013) Trans Tech Publications

A kind of small space telescope with 1m focal length was designed. By adopting finite element analysis technique
the structure of the space telescope was analyzed. The analysis results indicate that the surface profile accuracy of the mirrors reach to RMS 8.0nm with the working circumstances 4C uniform temperature change and space micro-gravity
the base frequency of the structure was 115 Hz. It shows that the designed structure has sufficiently high dynamic and static stiffness and thermal dimensional stabiLity. This space optical telescope is very suitable for little satellite application. 2011 IEEE.

A method for small three-dimensional (3D) angle measurement based on auto-collimation and moire fringe is proposed and analyzed. A right-angle prism is used as the indicator of angle change. The inclined plane indicates the pitch and yaw angles and roll angle in indicated by the rib which is the intersection of two right-angle sides. Pitch and yaw angles measurement are implemented by auto-collimation based on reticule and roll angle measurement is measured based on moire fringe. Roll angle measurement is separated from pitch and yaw by using two light sources with different frequencies. Any small change of pitch and roll angles will induce the shift of the reticule image after reflecting by inclined plane. And any small roll angle will induce a change in moire fringe width that is generated by scale grating image which is reflected by the prism and index grating. The math model of this method is built up and error analysis is presented. The theoretical calculation results show that the proposed method is feasible and can achieve high accuracy. 2009 SPIE.
