Control and management of the urban traffic signal is an problem that modern city has to face. The traffic signal controller makes a great contribution to the improvement of traffic status and the reduction of traffic jam. A traffic controller is designed using the technology of USB host based on ISP1161A. Universal serial bus is new interface bus architecture for PC  which supports the PnP function Of PC peripheral equipments and has been widely used in computer and communicational devices. ISP1161A complies with the protocol of USB1.1  and is used as the core part of the system. As a new try  the USB host technology is applied into the design of controller to implement the communication with PC. Configuration of scheme is carried out successfully. The USB host technology makes configuration of scheme and future update easier and more convenient. 2011 IEEE.

The applications based on traditional digital cameras have been limited by distance  cost and networking. Gigabit Ethernet is a data transmission standard based on the IEEE 802.3 protocol  brings several benefits to image transmission. In this paper  we compare the main features of Gigabit Ethernet and traditional digital camera interfaces. And  we design a high speed image acquisition system which overcomes these application limitations by allowing cameras to send imaging data over Gigabit Ethernet. In this system  we design a highly efficient  bidirectional conversion device based on FPGA  converts imaging data from a camera to IP packets based on UDP protocol  and sends it to PCs over inexpensive Cat-5 copper LAN cable. At the PC  the Cat-5 cable plugs into a standard Gigabit Ethernet NIC(network interface card)  eliminating the need for a frame grabber. An communications application software is used to acquire the network data  construct and display the image. A simple and efficient acknowledge and resend mechanism was used to guarantee packet delivery. The system architecture and the communication protocol are discussed in details  the experiment and results are presented in this paper. 2010 IEEE.

A special Controller Area Network (CAN) bus application layer protocol is designed for the highly reliable communication of microcomputer-based systems in aerocraft control system by analyzing the practical time sequence of data transmission  data priority  data type and data function etc in this paper. Identifier distribution  data storage form  data type  data exchange method and fault handling mechanism of the application layer protocol are specified in detail in the background of a real aerocraft control system. At last a simulation platform based on CAN bus for aerocraft control system is built to validate the design. Experimental results show that this application layer protocol meets the requirements of data transmission reliability  real-time and high efficiency. The bus load rate is low and there is great room for expansion. 2010 IEEE.
